FireFighter Conger ~ Serving since 2018
Conger was a volunteer firefighter for a couple of years at East Grand many moons ago. He came to us after moving into our district. His certifications are:
Conger is a husband and father of 2. He enjoys family time on the boat in the summer, cruises and snowmobiling. He is a HVAC technician.
Probationary FireFighter Sandifer ~ Serving since 2022
Sandifer use to come to our fire house all the time as a little kid. He always talked about how he wanted to be a firefighter when he grew up. When he finally turned 16, he signed up for our cadet program. We look forward to watching him grow, overcome his fears and become a student of the craft. He is looking forward obtaining FF1/FF2 Hazmat OPS/Awareness his EMT certification.
Probationary FireFighter Walker ~ Serving since 2024

Captain Martin, (aka Bam Bam)~ Serving since 2010
Cap grew up in Craig Colorado. He did a stint as a cadet firefighter in Craig at age 16. He holds certifications in:
His regular job is at the Henderson Mill. He also serves on the MERT team there. He is a husband and father of 2 who enjoys his kids, family time, trap shooting and snowmobiling.
FireFighter Calhoun ~ Serving since 1992
Calhoun grew up in the Hotchkiss area. Her favorite thing to do is fight Wildland Fires. She is a wife, mom and grandma. Her hobbies are hanging out with her kids and grandkids and hiking 14's

Fire Cadet Hicks ~ Serving since 2023
Hicks came to us via his stepdad, Firefighter Conger. He is currently in High School and set to graduate early. We are not sure how long we will have him once he graduates but we are happy he is here with us.
Reserve Captain Bill Dixon ~ Serving since 1965
What can we say about Captain Dixon? He has been serving this department for 58 years. His passion for this department is undeniable. He retired in 2015 but never really hung up his bunker boots. After Lt Babacock stepped down to take a fulltime firefighter job in a another state, Dixon stepped right back in at the Parshall Station. His wife Carolyn and himself donated the funds to replace and build station 2 in Parshall. It is officially the Ellison Dixon Station.
FireFighter Wood ~ Serving since 2018
Wood came to us during a wildland fire near his home. He was assisting the crew and we talked him into joining. We love having him in on our crew. His certificiations are:
He responds out of Station 2 (Parshall with Capt. Dixon) He is a husband and father of 2. His wife helps him runs his family cattle ranch, The Wood Cattle Company as well as coaching kids wrestling and football teams. He works for Grand county road and Bridge.
Lieutenant Russell ~ Serving since 2011
LT. grew up in Morrison, Colorado. She serves as our Training Officer as well as a member of the GCTOA (Grand County Training Officers and CFTOA (Colorado Fire Training Officers Association). She serves the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control as a Regional Proctor for the state. She holds the following certifications:
LT loves motorcycle camping trips, her dogs, spending time in nature and travel with her husband. She runs her own travel agency and has been a travel agent for over 20 years
Fire Chief Baumgarten ~ Serving since 2010
Chief is a full time employee
Originally from Michigan before coming to Colorado. He holds the following certifications:
Chief Baumgarten loves the fire service. The crew refers to him as "the working Chief". He leads by example from the front. He is also a ASE certified diesel mechanic as well as a certified Emergency Apparatus tech. His hobbies are motorcycle riding, camping, fishing and hiking the great outdoors. He is a husband, father of 2 sons and dog dad to Loki and Leonitus.
