HOT SULPHUR DAYS WAS AWESOME!
The 60th annual event was such a great time! The crew was exhasted by the end of our part of it but it all went off without a hitch! Our On Duty crew started that Saturday by responding to a gas call at 130am (OY VEY) and up at 0600 to start prepping for the always popular FireFighter pancake and bacon breakfast. After a quick cleanup they participated in the town parade, followed by the touch a truck event. LT Russell arranged the MedEvac helicopter to make a landing at the event and the community had the chance to look at the bird and talk with the flight crew. It was great! The post office, GCEMS, Search and Rescue and the fire department participated in the event. Then the big moment, we unvelived our brand new inflatable obstacle course for all the kids. It was a huge success and the kids were all smiles racing through it. The night was capped off by your fire crew becomming pyrotechnitions and putting on the fireworks display to cap off that Saturday. We want to Thank all of you that attended and a BIG shoutoout to Search and Rescue, GC EMS, Postal service, Sherrifs Office and the AMAZING flight crew from MedEvac for making this event even better! Another huge shout out to the Firefighters: Baumgarten, Calhoun, Conger, Dixon, Hicks, Martin and Russell, and thier families for all the hours you put in that day. See you all next year!
