Campfires:No campfires or wood/charcoal fires outside of permanent, metal or concrete fire pits located in developed campgrounds and picnic areas (rock fire rings and temporary fire pans are not allowed).
Open Burning:No open burning, trash burning, or bonfires. (Burning trash is illegal in Hot Sulphur, period)
Smoking:No smoking outdoors, except inside a vehicle, a building, a developed recreation site, or a cleared area at least three feet wide that is free of all plants and flammable materials.
Fireworks & Explosives: No use of fireworks, tracer rounds, or explosive targets.
Equipment: No chainsaws or internal combustion engines used without a working, approved spark arrestor. No welding or open-flame torches without clearing the surrounding area of vegetation.
What Is Allowed
Gas & Liquid Fuel: Devices that use gas, propane, or pressurized liquid fuel (like camp stoves and gas grills) that can be turned on and off with a valve.
Developed Sites: Campfires inside official, permanent metal grates provided by agencies in designated campgrounds.
Permitted Uses: Certain professional fireworks shows, agricultural burning, or specific exceptions granted by local fire authorities with a permit
